The Japan Rheumatism Foundation Information Center was founded in 1997 by the Japan Rheumatism Foundation and the Specific Disease Control Division, Health Service Bureau, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, Japan.

 　Its primary purpose is to provide general knowledge about rheumatoid arthritis and other rheumatic conditions to the patients and their families. It is financially supported by grant-in-aid from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.
